The Wile Twins!

Last Thursday I was so excited to make a quick trip up to the ATL to see the Wile family of FOUR who were down on their first road trip. 61 came over too, so we had a belated birthday celebration (though after TAXCO we were too stuffed for cupcakes! :) Meet Woodson on the left, and Rigsby on the right. Mama Rigs (or Catherine) is SUCH a good lil' mama, the boys are on such a perfect schedule, and acted like little angels while we played....well....until Woodson tinkled on 61 during diaper duty! Little different changing a boy, huh?!!
Love you boys already, and can't wait to watch you grow into little men! Congrats Rigsby and Chippy, they're perfect in every way!

LS Who???

Last weekend's game against LSU was AUsome, needless to say! WAR EAGLE!! ANd there's something about a tailgate with all my favorite people, friends and family, delish food, a big screen with all the best games playing, that just flat-out makes my weekend!
Here you go, Casey, first pic...as promised. :) And the guy made it over too. I was super excited to have a lil' visit with lil' Gin! And talk about the lil' baby bump! :)
My daddy never fails to make me smile!
I was super pumped that Aunt Claudia came up from Orange Beach!
And that Uncle Pat tagged along with her! I love these people!!
Hey mama. You so cool.
Oh, sister. I miss you so.
Even in times like these....
Love you family.
And love this tailgate. Bring on the Bulldogs. See yall then! WDE!

And the little piggie cried "wee wee wee" all the way home! :)

Last weekend my precious friend Brandi and I grabbed some last minute tickets to the Auburn - Arkansas game, and boy are we glad we did! What an awesome game!! Thank goodness for 4th quarters, and Cam Newton!! (Poor little piggies, hehehe!) Brandi and I had a great time, of course we always do together!, but telling old Auburn stories to each other, buying "prizes" for ourselves in the bookstore, and walking around campus, seemed to be just what the doctor ordered! We left very happy Auburn fans, anxious for the next few weeks, and ready for the next tailgate with lots more friends, food, and football!! War Eagle baby!!

A Hot Date and a Sad Goodbye

Last Friday night Jeff and I got "all fancy like" and went to the ATL for a fun date! This handsome guy spoiled me rotten, and cleans up pretty well too, I gotta say! We ate dinner at Morton's Steakhouse, and after I recovered from sticker shock....I enjoyed every bite!
The next morning, we met Haley and her family at the ATL airport....apparently she really is moving to Korea after all! I wouldn't believe it until I saw it for myself!
After we checked all her luggage, we headed to security for lots of hugs and to let the waterworks begin! Jeff was in charge of Haley's carryon...Maiya, her cat! haha!
Haley and her mama, let the huggin' begin! Sayin' goodbye! (I think her dad was keeping his distance...he was definitely in denial!)
I miss you already Haley, and its only been a week! Come home soon! You dont even like Korean food!! (I think it's really "dog" anyway!) Come back!

I Don't Wanna Grow Up...I'm a Toys R Us Kid!!

Last Sunday, Haley and I made Tristian's wish come true, with a Toys R Us Shopping Spree!! And we literally shopped til we dropped!
The morning started by meeting Antonio, and his smokin' ride! Haley and I hopped in like we were high cotton, and headed to pick up the little man and his dad!
Tristian's face was priceless when we pulled up in the limo, and as he climbed in he was all smiles!
The limo was filled with balloons, so we stayed very entertained by Tristian and his balloon games during our ride!
Destination #1 was his favorite restuarant for a bite to eat to keep our energy up....McDonalds! And first on the agenda was deciding what toy we wanted in our Happy Meal of course!
Someone LOVES some chicken nuggets!!!
And for dessert, of course Columbus Corner Bakery gave us the most awesome Spiderman cake for our wish day!
NOW...To do some SHOPPING!! When we pulled into the Toys R Us parking lot, we had quite the welcoming committee! Including the ToysRUs mascot, Geoffrey!
And after a little warming up, Geoffrey and Tristian became fast friends!
We then grabbed our custom shopping carts and hit the aisles!!
Tristian kept a VERY serious face on while we went from aisle to aisle, searching out all his heart's desire! "Do you fink dis is too big four me, Daddy? Ow put it in da buggy, otay?" I probably heard is tiny voice say a million times!
I think poor Daddy was thinking a) What in the world is Santa going to be able to bring for Christmas??! and b) Where is Daddy going to put all this stuff!!??
Tristian trying to explain to Miss Haley what this new toy is.
This is probably my favorite moment of the whole day. Geoffrey came to check on Tristian, and Tristian said "Here Geoffreee, can you put dis in my buggy, pweeese?"
G leaning down with his helpless giant webbed hands to take that toy from my little wish angel, them being head to head, melts my heart. Tristian just needed help, plain and simple. The guy inside that suit probably has no idea what his 10ft tall sweaty self means to Tristian, and how much that kid thinks he's just made a new best friend with. Or maybe he's tearing up inside there. I dont know. But it makes me cry when I replay him taking that toy, or when he'd walk around the corner, and I'd hear that squeaky voice say, "Oh dere you are, Geoffrreeee. Hi!"
Makes this job so dadgum rewarding. The reality is, yes, I'm working with sick kids. Some get better, some dont. But it's my job that for that shopping spree day, or for that trip we plan for them, or that playhouse we build them, etc. to make them forget it. For that special moment. To make them forget, their moms and dads, theirs sisters and brothers. And just make a wish come true. It usually turns out really easy.
After a really long day of mcnuggets, cake, and chasing Tristian and a giraffe, we could barely keep him in the buggy as we checked out!
After one more limo ride home, and playing transformers during the ride, we unloaded, and left Daddy and Tristian and LOTS of batteries to start playing!!
Happy WISH Day, Tristian!!!! We love you, little man!!

Paint Your Wish Day!

A few weekends ago we invited our local "wish kids" from the area to all get together for a very special day! The invitations said to "Paint Your Wish!" and that's exactly what we did!
In just a few weeks, we'll be having a fundraiser, with a great band, and yummy food, and raffle, and auction items....all to raise money to grant more wishes in our local area for the Make-A-Wish Foundation!
(Check out the Mickey Mouse below!)
SO....we thought what better auction item than paintings, from our very famous, very talented, wish children themselves!!
Some decided to go abstract...like Abby...whose wish was to be a Disney princess last year!
And Talisia...well, she wants to meet the President! (And apparently, she wants him to wear shiny red shoes when she meets him!) Her wish will be granted later this year when she spends a day at the White House!
And then there's my man, Jake, who met Sponge Bob last year, on his Nickelodeon cruise and got slimed! See Sponge Bob? See the purple dolphin he got to swim with? See his glasses sliding off his nose? Could he BE any cuter?!?!
And the beautiful Lauren, who after an awesome luau send-off party, went to Hawaii for a week! What an artist!
I can't imagine more perfect auction items, and just know these precious paintings will bring in lots of donations to make more wishes come true for more wonderful children very soon!
